Feel like a fire-worshiper from the ancient times, while peering into the sacred fire in the temple of the Zoroastrians, the oldest religion, whose representatives still live in Iran. Watch the sun rising among the endless sands and cliffs of Deshte-Lut desert. You just have to travel for the moments like this!

  • Day 1
Arrival in Tehran, checking into a hotel. We will visit the Museum of National Treasures of the country, which is located in the special underground premises of the Central Bank of Iran. This is a unique fund of the most valuable jewelry of the world, collected by the Persian rulers for many centuries. For example, we will see the Peacock Throne, which is considered the most luxurious throne in the world, the Precious Globe covered with 51,366 precious stones weighing almost 4 kilograms, and admire one of the most famous diamonds in the world of 182 carat - Derianur. Blinded by luxury, we move to the equally impressive palace of Golestan, the residence of the Persian kings. After lunch in one of the most popular restaurants of the city, we will discover the bustling Grand Bazaar - one of the biggest covered markets in the world. Enjoy traditional tea with Iranian sweets in one of the teahouses in the evening and observe curious locals.
  • Day 2
We will visit the modern symbols of the capital - the Freedom Memorial on the Azadi square and Milad tower - the sixth-tallest tower in the world. After lunch we depart to Isfahan (about 6 hours on the way). Arrival in Isfahan at night, checking into a hotel.
  • Day 3
We will visit the Imam Square, surrounded by several ancient mosques and known as one of the largest squares in the world. We will learn about Islamic symbolism and acoustics in the Shah Mosque and walk up to the balcony of the Ali-Kapu Palace, from which only recently - in the 16th century the most ruler, Shakh Abbas I of Persia, watched the magnificent parades on the square. Also we will visit the bazaar and dine in the restaurant of traditional cuisine. We stroll through the Persian park Chekhel Sotun, which was built by Shah Abbas II in the 17th century. The highlight of the park is a Forty Columns palace - 20 columns are real, and another 20 are reflected in the lake. We will also see the famous Isfahan bridges, in particular, the famous Joubi - the 147-meter bridge of the XVII century. We might also visit an impromptu concert in the evening.
  • Day 4
We will visit the Armenian quarter with many cozy cafes, and the 18th century Orthodox Vank Cathedral with unique frescoes. We will then go to the Mount Soffeh just outside the city. We will ride the cable car to the top and enjoy the views.
  • Day 5
Bus to Shiraz - the cultural capital of Iran (about 6 hours on the road). On the way we watch from the windows as the desert landscape changes to a green oasis. Locals even grow wheat here. And earlier, before the alcohol ban, Shiraz was famous for its vineyards and wine. We will check into a hotel, and then visit the cult place for the Iranians - the grave of the famous Persian poet Hafiz. He lived in the 14th century and became famous as the greatest lyric of world literature. In Iran, they say that every resident of the country must have two books - the Koran and a collection of poems by Hafiz. It is not surprising that the place of burial of the poet is a real memorial, a place of pilgrimage for Iranians from all over the world. There is an interesting local tradition to learn one`s future at the site. Friendly locals will surely teach us how.
  • Day 6
We will visit the famous Pink mosque with amazing mosaics, and admire the colorful rays of the rising sun through the colorful glass. We will also visit the XIV century mirror mausoleum of Shah Cheragh.
  • Day 7
Early departure to Yazd, one of the oldest cities in Iran, known from the third millennium BC (6 hours on the way). On the way, we will visit Persepolis, the "City of Persians," the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid state of the 6th century BC, built by the Persian king Darius and destroyed by Alexander the Great. We will also walk in Pasargadae - ruins of the city that was the capital of Persia before Persepolis. Evening arrival in Yazd, checking into a hotel.
  • Day 8-10
Yazd is known as one of the ancient cities of Iran, dating back two thousand years. It is also considered the center of one of the oldest world religions - Zoroastrianism. We will visit the local Zoroastrian temple and the Towers of Silence - the places of Zoroastrian burials. Another attractions include the Grand Mosque of the XVI century and mazy adobe old center. Discover famous local sweets and lear about the "air conditioners of the past" - wind catching towers badrigs. Next morning we visit the Water museum and go to the Bafgh desert to walk on endless sand dunes. In the evening we come back to Yazd and next morning explore the city's bustling traditional market. Pay attention to scarfs and other unique textiles - after all, that is what Yazd is also known for! In the afternoon we board a train to Kashan (5 hours on the way) and check into a traditional house.
  • Day 11
We will walk in the old districts and visit the luxurious houses of the local nobility. Observant travelers immediately ask themselves why each door has two different door knockers. The answer is simple - one is for female guests, another one is for men. They make very different sounds, so the people of the house know which of them - the man or the woman - should open the door. In the evening we observe the city from the roof of the old hammam.
  • Day 12
We go to the village of Abyane in the mountains (about 2 hours on the way). Abyane is an ancient village listed as the UNESCO World Heritage site. We stroll through the narrow streets, between the houses of red bricks and admire ancient architecture. In the evening we go back to Kashan and take an evening bus to Tehran (4 hours on the way) where we check into a hotel.
  • Day 13
We will visit the northern part of the capital - the territory of prosperous districts, parks and palaces. We will visit Saadat Abad Park with its palaces, museums of cars and arms of the former royal family. Now Saadat Abad is the official residence of the incumbent president. In the evening we visit the pedestrian bridge Tabiat which connects two parks. This is the largest pedestrian bridge in Iran, which is 270 meters long. Parks are a special love of the Iranians, and we will understand this from the first minutes of our stay. Here people not only jogg and relax, but also spread carpets on the grass for tea drinking, engage in choral singing and are more than willing to get acquainted with foreigners. The last wave of striking Iranian hospitality in the open air - and we bid farewell to the mysterious Iran having opened some of its magical secrets. Flight back home.
