Just a few years ago, Myanmar was one of the most closed countries in the world. Fortunately, now the treasures of the ancient Pagan kingdom can be seen! The famous Mandalay and thousands of ancient stupas of Bagan. Grandiose golden pagodas and villages without electricity. Tribes with a unique culture, living on water. And, for a contrast, Kuala Lumpur, one of the most modern cities in Asia.

  • Day 1
    Arrival in Kuala Lumpur, checking into a hotel. We will walk in the center, where we will see the famous Petronas twin towers, Jama Masjid mosque, bustling China town and the night market.
  • Day 2
    Flight to Mandalay in Myanmar, cheking into a hotel. We will explore Kuthodaw Paya pagoda, which houses the largest book in the world, and the Royal Palace. In the evening we will go to Amarapura to watch the sunset on the famous U-Bein teakwood bridge.
  • Day 3
    We walk up the holy Mandalay Hill, dotted with many monasteries and stupas. We walk around the Mahamuni Pagoda, enjoying the scenery. In the evening we take a bus to Bagan (about 6 hours on the way).
  • Day 4
    We arrive in Bagan and check into a hotel. We will spend the day exploring one of the oldest temple complexes in the world - thousands of pagodas and stupas scattered over a vast territory. The oldest ones date back to 9th
  • Day 5
    We get up before dawn and go to meet the first rays of the sun among the mysterious stupas and buildings of Bagan. In the evening we take a bus to Inle Lake ( 7 hours on the way).
  • Day 6
    We will enjoy Inle lake, visiting villages on water, with their temples, sprinkled on all sides of the lake. We will meet local Inta tribe, whose name means “Sons of the lake”, discover a couple of markets and visit famous Jumping cats monastery.
  • Day 7
    Sunrise on Inle lake. Visiting a winery for wine tasting. In the evening we take a comfortable night bus to Yangon (12 hours).
  • Day 8
    Early arrival in Yangon, checking into a hotel in historical part of the city. We visit famous Shwedagon pagoda, which, according to the legend, contains 8 Buddha’s hair strands. We will also visit several local markets and enjoy dinner in Chinatown, which transforms to an open air canteen after dusk.
  • Day 9
    Flight to Kuala Lumpur and home.

This trip is of light physical grade. It includes three night trips in comfortable buses, and two short flights. Accommodation in double/twin rooms of tourist class hotels, all will have hot water and wi fi internet.
