Angkor Wat, thousands of 9th century stupas in Bagan and the old royal capital of Laos. Need we say more? These world-famous spots are hard to put into words, they should be seen with one`s own eyes! We will also visit modern Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, known for its diverse cultures. 

  • Day 1
    Arrival in Kuala Lumpur, checking into a hotel. We will walk in the center, where we will see the famous Petronas twin towers, Jama Masjid mosque, bustling China town and the night market.
  • Day 2
    Flight to Mandalay in Myanmar, cheking into a hotel. We will explore Kuthodaw Paya pagoda, which houses the largest book in the world, and the Royal Palace. In the evening we will go to Amarapura to watch the sunset on the famous U-Bein teakwood bridge.
  • Day 3
    We walk up the holy Mandalay Hill, dotted with many monasteries and stupas. We walk around the Mahamuni Pagoda, enjoying the scenery. In the evening we take a bus to Bagan (about 6 hours on the way).
  • Day 4
    We arrive in Bagan and check into a hotel. We will spend the day exploring one of the oldest temple complexes in the world - thousands of pagodas and stupas scattered over a vast territory. The oldest ones date back to 9th century!
  • Day 5
    We get up before dawn and go to meet the first rays of the sun among the mysterious stupas and buildings of Bagan. In the evening we take a bus to Inle Lake ( 7 hours on the way).
  • Day 6
    We will enjoy Inle lake, visiting villages on water, with their temples, sprinkled on all sides of the lake. We will meet local Inta tribe, whose name means “Sons of the lake”, discover a couple of markets and visit famous Jumping cats monastery.
  • Day 7
    Sunrise on Inle lake. Visiting a winery for wine tasting. In the evening we take a comfortable night bus to Yangon (12 hours).
  • Day 8
    Early arrival in Yangon, checking into a hotel in historical part of the city. We visit famous Shwedagon pagoda, which, according to the legend, contains 8 Buddha’s hair strands. We will also visit several local markets and enjoy dinner in Chinatown, which transforms to an open air canteen after dusk.
  • Day 9
    Morning flight to Kuala Lumpur and than to Siem Reap in Cambodia. Checking into a hotel.
  • Day 10
    Early in the morning we go to Angkor Wat complex 5 km from Siem Reap. We will spend the day marveling at the stunning temple complexes and grandiose monasteries built in the 12th century!
  • Day 11-12
    A trip to Lake Tonle Sap - the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. We will be explorig the lake on the boat, visiting the villages on the water. Return to Siem Reap, visit to the night market, famous for original souvenirs. Next morning we fly to Kuala Lumpur and check into a hotel.
  • Day 13
    Morning flight to Luang Prabang. Checking into a hotel. We will visit the local night market known for its unique handicrafts.
  • Day 14
    Luang Prabang is one of UNESCO world heritage sites, an old royal capital with grand temples and cozy streets. We will visit all most prominent sites, participate in early morning alms giving ceremony and enjoy Kuang Si Falls.
  • Day 15
    In the morning we ride bicycles across villages near the city for around 35 km, enjoying the views of rice paddies and greeting friendly locals. Some parts of the road might be difficult and we might have to walk our bikes for a short distance.
  • Day 16
    In the morning we take a bus to Vang Vieng (8 hours) where we check into a hotel. Dinner in a riverside restaurant.
  • Day 17
    In the morning we ride bicycles across outskirts of Vang Vieng and after lunch go to Blue lagune - an amazing place for swimming and rest.
  • Day 18
    Bus ride to Vientiane (4-5 hours), checking into a hotel. We will explore the old city, visiting temples, and the river front.
  • Day 19
    Flight to Kuala Lumpur and back home.

Is this trip for you?

This trip is of light physical grade. It includes four night trips in comfortable buses, short bus trips and four short flights. We will also take a cycling tour in Laos traveling for 35 km. It will be possible to skip this part and have some free time instead. Accommodation in double/twin rooms of tourist class hotels, all will have hot water and wi fi internet.

The price of the trip includes:

  • Flights in Asia;
  • Accommodation in double/twin rooms of tourist class hotels during the entire trip;
  • Breakfasts in some hotels;
  • All transportation including buses, boats, taxi;
