A great adventure for lovers of hiking, stunning mountains and vivid culture. For six days we will be walking part of the famous Annapurna Circuit in the most stunning massif of Himalayas, visiting authentic Tibetan villages and monasteries on the way, eventually reaching breathtaking Thorong La pass. We then descend to Pokhara on Phewa lake, known for its views and, finally, explore Kathmandu valley - grand ancient stupas, royal palaces and unique architecture.
  • Day 1
    Arrival in Kathmandu, checking into a hotel near 6th century Boudhanath stupa, one of the largest in the world.
  • Day 2
    We explore Boudhanath stupa, then visit Patan, Nepal’s ancient capital near Kathmandu. Another stop - Swayambhunath complex on the hill, one of Nepal’s most famous sites. We will also visit Nepal’s trademark Durbar square and Thamel tourist district.
  • Day 3
    Bus trip to the famous Nepalese town of Pokhara (8 hours on the way, with stops for breakfast and lunch). Checking into a hotel in the center.
  • Day 4
    Jeep ride to the picturesque village of Chame situated 2710 meters above sea level. Night in a hotel.
  • Day 5
    In the morning we start our trek walking from Chame to the village of Guaru (3730 m), passing by Lower Pisang village and a lake. Night in a simple hotel in Gyuaru, one of the best preserved Tibetan style villages.
  • Day 6
    In the morning we leave for Manang (3540 m), descending to fields, and then going through a pine tree forest, passing by small rivers. In the village we check into a simple hotel.
  • Day 7
    We spend a day resting in Manang as well as adjusting to high altitudes. Aside from stunning mountain views the village also boats a market selling Tibetan traditional medicine and warm clothes and shoes.
  • Day 8
    We walk to Yak Kharka (4018 m), slowly ascending to the beautiful lake and then walking through stunning Marsyangdi valley. Landscape changes to juniper clump inhabited by wild goats and yaks. Night in a simple hotel.
  • Day 9
    We walk to Thorung Phedi pass (4450м) gradually ascending along Kone river with sharp cliffs. Night in a simple hotel.
  • Day 10
    The most difficult day of the trek. We start at 5 a.m. ascending to the highest point of the trek - Thorong La pass (5416 m). Here we enjoy breathtaking Annapurna massif views before descending to the village of Muktinath (3800 m), a holy place for Buddhists and Hindu alike. In the village we check into a hotel and visit a unique Buddhist temple, washed by 180 streams of a holy spring.
  • Day 11
    In the morning we ascend to Jomsom (2710 m) walking a narrow path passing by a 500 meters deep canyon. Night in a simple hotel.
  • Day 12
    Morning flight to Pokhara, checking into a guesthouse with a mountain view. Pokhara is famous for its Phewa lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, also known for the reflection of mount Machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks on its surface. We will enjoy the lake and its views during boat trips.
  • Day 13
    We will meet sunrise near the marble white Peace pagoda of Buddhist Japanese tradition situated one of the most picturesque spots of Himalayas. After breakfast we take a bus to Kathmandu (6 hours on the way). (Bus trip might be changed to a short flight). In Kathmandu we check into the same hotel.
  • Day 14
    Flight back home.

Is this trip for you?

This trip is dynamic, of above average difficulty. The main part is a 6 day 100 km trek at a high altitude of up to 5416 meters above sea level. We will be walking 12-20 km a day for 5-9 hours, depending on the height. Itinerary also includes several rides in comfortable buses for up to 8 hours with stops for food. We will also take one of two short dometic flights. During the trek we will be staying in simply gueshouses with basic facilities on the way. Other times - in hotels, most of them will have hot water and wi fi internet.

Price of the trip includes:

  • Domestic flight Jomsom-Pokhara (and Pokhara-Kathmandu, if we fly instead of taking a bus);
  • All transportation including buses, specially rented vehicles, and airport transfers;
  • Accommodation in double, triple or quadriple rooms of hotels with basic facilities or guesthouses;
  • Permit and TIMS card (Trackers’ Information Management System);
  • Professional guiding services.

To be paid separately:

  • Flight to Kathmandu and from Kathmandu back home;
  • Food ($5-6 per person per day);
  • Entrance tickets to palaces, temples and other places of interest (up to $40);
  • Medical insurance (Mandatory);
  • Visa to Nepal ($25).
