  • Day 3
We will visit Mahamuni temple, famous for its 4 meters tall golden statue of Buddha, believed to be cast during his lifetime. We will also explore nearby town of Sagaing, noted for its monasteries and stupas on hills. We will enjoy sunset, walking on 1.2-km U Bein bridge built in 1850 and believed to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. In the evening we ride a night sitting train or a bus to Bagan.
  • Day 4-6

This ancient city, home to thousands 9th - 13th century picturesque pagodas and stupas, has to be walked, watched and inhaled to be understood. That is exactly what we will do for two full days here. At the end of our stay we will take a bus to Kalaw (9 hours on the way) and check into a hotel.

Little hill town of Kalaw is tucked into a beautiful valley among mountains 1200-1400 meters above sea level. Here we will visit several Buddhist monasteries, a Hindu temple, Christian church, all while enjoying cool mountain air.
  • Day 8-9
Early in the morning we begin our two days trek of approximately 40 km, gradually ascending to 1500 meters above sea level. On the way we will visit several traditional mountain villages, devour some unusual food, prepared for us on the open fire, and will spend a night in a monastery or in a friendly local’s house. By the evening of a second day we reach Inle lake and cross it on a boat, marvelling at labyrinths of water villages and strange fishermen, rowing with their legs. We spend the night in a hotel on the bank of the lake.
  • Day 10
We enjoy Inle lake, visiting villages on water, with their temples, sprinkled on all sides of the lake. We will meet local Inta tribe, whose name means “Sons of the lake”, discover a couple of markets and visit famous Jumping cats monastery, where monks spend their spare time training cats. It is cool to travel with you, guys. Itineraries are really interesting. Movement dynamics is just right, we are never stuck in one place for long. Of course it is also great that travelling with you means one does not have to worry about organizational things - how to get somewhere, where to find the best accommodation, what is worth seeing and so on. One can just enjoy places and not think about routine. Another thing I like is that you love places where you take people, and try to get your group to see the best of it and love it as well. Another bonus - is that you are very interesting people and it is interesting to be spending time with you. You are my favorite guides! I hope there are many more trips with you to come in the future!
