Tour description

A unique trip to the wild, absolutely not touristy parts of Nepal where we will be the only foreigners. After visiting ancient Kathmandu valley, we walk for 8 days to the sacred Salpa lake 3800 meters above sea level. Here we will participate in the annual Baisakh Purnima festival, celebrated on the banks of the lake by Nepali shamans dzakri who come from all over the country. On the way to Salpa we will walk through the least known part of eastern Nepal, visiting villages of Rai, Bahun, Chhetri, Tamang, Magar tribes, many of which still lead primitive lives. We will also enjoy beautiful mountain views, rivers, picturesque canyons, waterfalls, and walk through a mysterious forest.
